Understand well that the description of Dante’s inferno is as adequate as can be found to describe this condition.
And it is the poet himself who tells us how much he was in crisis, but without completely losing the ability for hope:
So bitter is it that little is more death;
But to treat the good that I found there,
I will tell you of the other things that I have provided for you.
Dante’s inner drama drives him to feel lost, hopeless and close to death, but he recognizes something beautiful and meaningful precisely because, in addition to his despair and fear, he glimpses other things.
Thus, Dante is the true master of escape rooms, as well as, love!
And now tell me, isn’t this the emotional state that those who are prepared to begin this experience find themselves in? That is why Dante and escape rooms are connected and he is considered a master of them.
But it is not only the incipit that unites the Florentine poet with a hypothetical player: the very unfolding of the story is essentially common. Dante, the father of the Italian language, can therefore also be considered the pioneer of those who want to try their hand at solving an escape room. Bewilderment, inability to imagine how to proceed, amazement at an unexpected solution: these are the feelings that accompanied the Florentine poet on his path to redemption.
